GRACE SAYS™ · FAITH & PURPOSE

What You’re Carrying Deserves More Than Another Delay

Words for the purpose you carry. · A reflection by Tammy R.

There comes a point when you have to stop simply talking about what God has placed inside you and begin taking responsibility for developing it.

Not every assignment arrives with a complete roadmap. Sometimes it begins as a thought, a burden, a story, an idea, or a vision that refuses to leave you alone.

And while you may recognize that you are carrying something meaningful, recognizing it and developing it are two very different things.

What you carry has purpose. But purpose requires participation.

You may still be learning. You may still be healing. You may be rebuilding after disappointment, rediscovering your voice, or trying to find your footing in a new season.

None of those things automatically means you must abandon what you’ve been called to develop.

Zechariah 4:10 reminds us not to despise small beginnings. There is significance in the first step, even when it doesn’t look anything like the finished vision.

That manuscript sitting unfinished.

That business idea you’ve revisited for years.

That testimony you’ve been hesitant to share.

That dream you’ve quietly placed on the shelf.

Perhaps the issue isn’t that you’ve lost your purpose. Perhaps you’ve become comfortable postponing the work required to bring it forward.

And sometimes the next step isn’t doing everything yourself. It may mean seeking wisdom, finding the right support, receiving direction, or finally creating a plan.

Birthing purpose is not simply about what you believe you’ve been called to do. It’s about your willingness to nurture, develop, and steward what has been entrusted to you.

Grace Says™ Today

Stop postponing what deserves your attention.

You don’t need to finish everything today. But you do need to identify your next step.

A Moment to Reflect

What have you been carrying that you’ve continued to put off?

Write down one action you can take this week to begin developing it. Then give that action a place on your calendar.

Don’t just carry the vision. Commit to developing it.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Purpose moves when you do.

If there is a book, message, or vision you are ready to develop, you do not have to figure out every detail alone.
